Workshop Guidelines
In-person on Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Location: Chestnut Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R1
Workshop format: A small group interactive experience supporting shared learning, knowledge, skill and/or attitude acquisition.
The conference team will confirm the number of registered attendees approximately one week prior to the event.

Please prepare a brief description of your project (maximum 250 words), and 2-3 learning objectives (maximum 150 words).
Each submission must include active involvement from at least one DFCM faculty member, learner or staff member.
Submissions without DFCM representation will not be considered.

In-person Platform: There will be no hybrid options. No pre-work or post-work.
Length: 75 minutes
Interactivity: We encourage as much interactivity as possible during workshops. This may include table group discussions, think/pair/share, or other opportunities for sharing and engagement.
Conflicts of interest: Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed both verbally and on slides at the start of your presentation (template slides will be provided).
Other: We encourage you to incorporate, when possible, the most up to date and objective evidence into your presentation as well as address any barriers to practice/physician change.
Please note that workshops will NOT be live-streamed or recorded.
Oral Paper Guidelines
In-person on Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Location: Chestnut Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R1
Oral paper format: These are 10-minute oral presentations with an additional 5 minutes for questions. They will be grouped by theme and presented during the 75 minute workshop sessions. These projects may relate to family medicine education, clinical practice, primary care research or any other area relevant to our discipline.

Please prepare a brief description of your project (maximum 250 words), and 2-3 learning objectives (maximum 150 words).
Each submission must include active involvement from at least one DFCM faculty member, learner or staff member.
Submissions without DFCM representation will not be considered.

Setting: 4-5 Oral papers will be grouped by an overall theme, and presented within the workshop periods.

Poster Guidelines

Location: Chestnut Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON M5G 1R1
Poster purpose: An opportunity to disseminate and discuss findings of research studies, education projects, curricular interventions, practice improvements or clinical innovations.

Please prepare a brief description of your project/poster (maximum 250 words).
Each submission must include active involvement from at least one DFCM faculty member, learner or staff member.
Submissions without DFCM representation will not be considered.

There will be a 30 minute in-person poster viewing session in the AM, and viewing time in PM
Standard size: 48 inches x 36 inches (landscape)
